Wild

Wild is a restaurant and bar interior located in Nanjing, China. The original catering space was large and underused, so one area was separated to work as an independent whiskey bar. The restaurant and the bar are divided by a passage, yet remain visible to each other. The restaurant recalls camping in nature, with a large custom canopy made of Oxford cloth, terrazzo flooring and natural rock flakes on the walls. The bar imagines a new home a century from now, with a curved structure of wood and gypsum board around a luminous model of the earth. The total area is 235 square meters.

Fluidity of Space

The Fluidity of Space is an interior design for a school teaching area in Taiwan. The teaching space is divided into six educational areas. Flexible spatial allocation forms the main axis of the design, and visual openness between the areas encourages student interaction. Glass sliding doors allow areas to be joined or separated. Linear lighting strips, three large bright yellow circular lines with built-in light sources, and suspended retractable power supplies serve the whole space. Movable whiteboards, teaching trolleys and portable chairs support varied lessons.

To Beauty

To Beauty is the interior design of a medical plastic surgery clinic of about 700 square meters. The plan is organized in four parts: reception, consultation, diagnosis and treatment, and surgery. Five custom aluminum panels conceal a fire pipe at the ceiling. Small cube lamps are joined into a golden line that guides visitors through the clinic.

The Grandeur

Inspired from ribbon dance, when entering the abode, guests are greeted by a carefully arranged visual art installation. A frame-like partition is placed between the main entrance and the dining; thus, has created an illusion that the art painting (dining area) and the screen partition (foyer) are one single unit. As such, the art painting serves as a decorative piece for both the foyer and the dining. Subtle bronze detailing wraps around the ceiling, and connects with the bespoke cabinet and the floor-to-ceiling screen to create a hotel-like luxurious interior.

Gallery Crossroad

Gallery Crossroad is an exhibition interior for photography, set inside a 40 year old Taiwanese house. The construction area is 60 square meters. Most storefront windows are blocked, so the space is shaped by controlled light. Cyclorama walls let visitors view each full frame. A steel wireframe structure runs from the columns to the ceiling and is used to hang pieces, and its arch form visually extends the depth of the room. A translucent hollow board screen separates the reception desk from the gallery. The old red door and grid wall tiles are kept.
