Beans Restaurant and Cafe

Beans

Beans is a cafe and restaurant in Ma On Shan, Hong Kong, serving coffee, desserts and light meals. A waving stainless steel surface forms a lake near the entrance ceiling, and narrow rocks are made by three-dimensional printing. A tree stands at the centre and grows toward the light. The dessert bar is placed near the entrance to ease ordering.

Patterned timber flooring and wooden grille screens mark circulation and use, while the open screens allow light and air to pass through. A tea reception area greets guests and professional partners. Grey carpet and wool wall covering give the working area a calm tone, and the supervisor office is separated to ensure privacy.
