Symphony of Spring

Symphony of Spring is a residence interior design project completed in Taiwan in 2019. The home covers 341 square meters. Color and texture are used to create an elegant and spacious atmosphere. The public area is mainly blue-gray, and white marble is combined with a dark wooden floor. The private area uses calm tones, with furniture and cabinets in wood tones that support rest. Flower motifs appear through the space and soften the interior. Black and white mosaic tiles draw the lines of flowers and bring a garden feeling indoors.

Splendid Forest

Splendid Forest is a residential interior design created for a family of five. The partitions were removed, so the living room, dining room, kitchen and play area form one wide space. The open plan allows parents to watch their children without obstruction. Wood, slabs with stone texture and metal form the television wall, which extends onto the ceiling. An inclined lattice at the entrance recalls the shadows of forest trees. Lamps shaped like clouds and birds continue the natural theme. Wood flooring was selected because it can be restored by grinding.

Ah Ma

Ah Ma is a place that will keep you warm no matter how cold it is outside. It is not only a warm harbor, welcoming wandering souls, but also a big tree like an umbrella, blocking the burning summer sun. Quiet, generous, and no sense of distance are the space atmosphere want to create, but the natural feeling it presents highlights its unique characteristics. The silent agility allows aesthetics to leave more space for dialogue and blank space between man and nature.

Pure House

Pure House is a residential interior design of 125 square meters in a high rise building in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. The living space is surrounded by wide French windows with an open view. The structural surface of the building is extended indoors to add visual weight to the main television wall. Two inch tiles and solid wood grilles connect the outdoor and indoor surfaces and balance the proportions. Copper orange titanium physical vapor deposition boards replace part of the cabinet doors. The plan was changed from three rooms to two rooms to enlarge the shared area.

Miniature Travel

Miniature Travel is a residential interior design for a home of 99 square meters. Classic elements are combined with modern minimalism, and simple moldings on the walls create a neoclassical atmosphere and add depth to each room. In the entryway, a floor of interlaced white stone pattern and copper strips meets a dark blue wall and an elegant cabinet with a dark green line, showing a gradation of colors. Marble, titanium-plated metal, glass and natural veneer are used throughout. The display cabinets are kept low to extend the visual scale of the marble back wall.

Aranya Cafeteria 6

Aranya Cafeteria 6 is a restaurant set in the underground space of a pet hotel. Seven light patios bring daylight inside and hold green planting, creating a natural atmosphere. Exposed concrete walls, ash wood furniture and plants define the brutalist character of the interior. Cool spotlights echo the steel pipes and air conditioning boxes on the ceiling, while warm light marks the dining tables. Storage for pets, a vending machine with pet snacks and a water dispenser for pets are placed near the entrance. Two hand washing areas serve the two entrances.

A C Residence

A C Residence is a residential interior design for a family home in Taiwan. Wooden tones form the central theme of the interior. Materials with different wood grains are combined with white marble, artificial stone, painted copper plates and laminated wooden flooring. Each area is defined by vertical and horizontal material lines instead of solid walls. Glass surfaces keep the circulation open and extend the space visually. A wide hallway, a low sofa and a low television cabinet allow children to move and play freely.

Ideal Modern House

Ideal Modern House is a residential interior design completed in Taiwan. The home contains an entryway, a living room, a dining area, a kitchen, four bedrooms, a study, two bathrooms and two balconies. Grey mirrors on the living and dining room walls and ceilings create reflections that visually expand the space. Black, wood and milk tea tones are combined with stone and marble surfaces. The television wall is made of stone and is supported by imported ironware. Cabinets are placed in each area to store the items listed by the client.

The River is Everywhere

The River is Everywhere is a residential interior design for a 200-square-metre apartment in Taipei City. The design draws on the nearby river and on the theme of a spiritual journey. The entry ceiling was remodelled into a smooth curved line. Layered openings on the living room partition walls cast shadows that recall trees seen from a river. Plaster surfaces were finished by hand to give the open plan a clean and bright quality. A bespoke dining counter of marble and plastic sheet with a curved mirror leg stands at the centre of the space.

Lumiere

Pinning the light is a permanent installation introducing experiential art to beauty space. This renovation work takes on a previously standard Japanese convenience store turning it into a Hair Salon. To reduce the cost of the renovation, the walls and ceiling were finished with raw OSB boards. 120000 golden headed thumbtacks were pushed over the central wall generating a scintillating surface. The pins sparkles by reflecting outdoor sunlight on daytime and the indoor lighting at night. The reflection changes according to the light and the position of the viewer in an interactive fashion.

Restelo

Restelo is the interior design of a villa in Lisbon, Portugal, covering the living room, entry hall and stairs. The layout is open and minimal. The entry hall separates the living room from the dining room and the kitchen. A custom-made bookcase connects the living room with the home office on the second floor. The bookcase is made of MDF lacquered in light gray and anthracite, and it includes hidden storage. The living room holds two seating areas, one for socializing near the television and one facing the garden for relaxation.

Anchor and Sail

Anchor and Sail is a residential interior design of 230 square meters in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Ocean and cruise ship motifs guide the layout, materials, fixtures and color scheme. The open common area holds four zones: a home cinema, a dining section, a fireplace area and a wine-tasting section. A ceiling shaped like a billowing sail and a central beam that recalls a mast reinforce the theme. Space taken from the common area enlarges the closets of the three bedrooms. Soft curves on walls and ceilings cover protrusions and create a gentle feel.
