Chu Kochen College

Chu Kochen College is an interior design for a renovated student dormitory at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. The building houses about 1,600 students and was originally designed only for bedrooms. Several rooms were transformed to create lobbies, classrooms, self-study rooms, offices, exhibition spaces, recreational rooms, public kitchens and guest suites within a total area of 2,800 square metres. Natural stone, wood, white metal board and plaster are used in the public spaces. Glass walls and folding walls add daylight and flexibility.

Dental Clinic

Dental Clinic is a healthcare interior developed on a single floor in Lisbon. A skylight brings natural light into the central waiting area, around which all rooms are arranged. The clinic contains a waiting and service room, a meeting room, nine dental offices, administrative offices, a sterilization room and an orthopantomography room. Glass partitions allow daylight to reach the dental offices and reduce the use of artificial light. Separate routes divide the clinic from the office area. An automatic check-in point and a generous waiting room help reduce patient stress.

Wuhan Park

Wuhan Park is a residential interior design located near Moshui Lake in Wuhan, to the west of Guiyuan Temple. The 500 square meter space is arranged in a modern style and inspired by breeze-induced ripples on the lake surface. Wooden veneers, indigo and pink tones and velvet furniture create a quiet and warm atmosphere. Environment-friendly materials are used, including natural marble, handmade ceramic ornaments and curtains of natural cotton and linen. The layout places living, dining and elderly rooms on the first floor, an entertainment zone on the second floor and a study on the third.

Ooh La Love Wedding

Ooh La Love Wedding is a wedding cake store designed as an experiential space in Taichung, Taiwan. The interior covers 125 square metres. Elegant wood surfaces are combined with cold neon lines that cut across the space like dashes. A spiral staircase leads upward past a time wall and dynamic picture frames. Mirrors extend the narrow plan, and a golden ball art installation holds a surprise. Guests receive a key that turns on the lights of the whole area when they reach their seat. Glass, steel, marble, ceramic tile and brass are also used.

HP Kid Space

HPKID is an indoor children playground in Wuhan with a total area of 1200 square meters. The design is inspired by nature, the universe and hills. The Universe zone invites children to explore abstract geometry, and the Mountain zone encourages physical movement. Children can run on the hillside and pass through caves of different depths. Some caves are connected, so children can climb up and down. Digital modeling was used to test the geometry, and steel plates were laser cut and coded for accurate construction on site.

Amrta

Amrta is a spa interior located in a shopping mall in Chongqing, China. The space covers 334 square meters and contains 20 beds. Light, aroma and music are combined to relax sight, smell and hearing. Even and clean lighting wraps the space and blurs the boundaries of the walls. All lighting is adjustable and smart, so brightness and color temperature change with the weather. A large linear installation of soft nylon threads forms an abstract mountain landscape, inspired by ink painting. Line lights outline the mountain along the corridor.

Rurutiki In White Earth

Rurutiki In White Earth is an office space designed for an e-commerce company in Puncak Alam, Malaysia. The interior covers 1105 square meters. The theme follows the story of a horse named Rurutiki running across a white earth and passing jungle, oasis and ocean scenery. Earth tones are used throughout, with wood, stone, plant, oasis, ocean and coral colors. Curved walls and ceilings repeat the arc of a horseshoe, shaped in plate moldings and finished with white cement plaster. Real and artificial plants are combined to create a calm and natural work environment.

Yamadera

Yamadera is a hotel suite located in Jiaoxi, Taiwan, and named after a mountain temple in Yamagata, Japan. The suite covers 30 square meters and is divided by layered arch elements into three sections: foyer, resting area and bathing area. Monotone materials and low chromatic tones create a calm and enclosed atmosphere. Diatomaceous earth is mixed into the wall coating of the sleeping area to adjust the humidity around the hot spring tub. Water-resistant mineral paint is used in the bathing area. The compact layout responds to the limited floor space.

Mountain Rock Comfy Home

Mountain Rock Comfy Home is a residential interior design for a 133 square meter home in Taichung, Taiwan. The original four rooms were rearranged into three rooms for two people. One room was divided into two areas to enlarge the kitchen and the dressing room. Removing redundant space creates a wider and cozier interior. The space is finished with F1 class low-formaldehyde wood materials, which emit less formaldehyde than the F3 class accepted in Asia. Eco-friendly latex and mineral paints help decompose formaldehyde, and an air circulation unit maintains indoor air quality.

Holistic Healing

Holistic Healing is the interior design of a retail pharmacy in a heritage building that was formerly a residence. The ground floor holds five connected areas: lifestyle retail, body care, rehabilitation, healthcare and consultation. Local artisanal products and a bookstore form the lifestyle area. A ramp gives access to the rehabilitative care retail at the rear. A multipurpose hall on the first floor is used for meetings and seminars. Three existing arches were reused to create wider openings. Playful forms and cheerful colours replace the cold look of traditional pharmacies.

The Evergrowing

The Evergrowing is a bank branch design in Hong Kong, covering a total floor area of 756.5 square meters. The Chinese bamboo tree is the leading concept, reflecting the meaning of ever growing in Chinese. The five-storey facade is made of aluminium alloy sections arranged in slender lines that refer to the growth of bamboo. The brand colour green is accentuated by the sleek detailing. As the banking hall is placed on the first floor, the facade was opened with full-height glazing from ground level, expressing transparent customer service.

Gaoxin Cunzhi

Xianyang Gaoxin Cunzhi Kindergarten is an interior design for a nursery school covering 8756 square meters. Yellow, blue and green act as identifying colors in the standard activity room and bathroom area on each floor, helping children recognize the function of each space. All external corners on the facade within reach of children are rounded to reduce the risk of injury. Green and non-toxic materials were selected. Light from the top of the stairs passes through multicolored glass and circular openings, casting colorful shadows for children to explore.
